OUR STORY
Our journey begin in 2046 BS. (1989 AD.) during my MBA studies at Tribhuvan University. As part of the national development service program, each student was required to complete a research project that contributed to national development.
For my project, I travelled to thuladurlung, a village in the Southern part of Lalitpur district. There, I met Mr Digambar Mishra, the District officer, who suggested I explore coffee processing. At that time, coffee was being harvested in the village, but farmers were unsure of how to process or make their crop effectively.
With Mr Mishra’s guidance, I purchased 100 KG of black cherry coffee at RS 30 per KG. I then separated the cherries to extract the green beans, using traditional stone friction methods. These beans were roasted in large pans, filling the air with the aroma of coffee as they turned brown. After roasting, the beans were grounded, using a hand grinder, and the coffee was packed under the brand name” Himalaya Coffee Products.” I distributed the coffee for free to local subs in Patan and Kathmandu to gather feedback.
Two weeks later, I returned to the shops and received positive feedback, encouraging me to pursue the idea of starting a coffee processing industry.
I soon begin, researching, the machinery needed for coffee processing, such as hulling, roasting, grinding, and packaging machines. With the help of Dr M.M. Pandey, the first director of animal healthcare for his Majesty’s government of Nepal, who was introduced to the food research Centre at babarmahal. Through these connections, I reached out to international suppliers of coffee processing equipment. Many responded with letters, catalogues, and even small machines that were perfectly suited to our emerging industry.
I am deeply grateful to those who helped us along the way, and their support continues to inspire our mission today.

Collection
Our coffee is sourced from a wide range of districts, including Lalitpur, makwanpur, Dholka, Gorkha, Ilam, Dhan Kuta, and More. Farmers from these regions, harvest their Coffee at various stages, dry Cherry, parchment coffee, and green beans and deliver them to us through Local network.
Processing
We take great care in processing to ensure the finest quality coffee. The first step is hulling, where dry cherry and parchment Beans are carefully processed into green coffee, beans, preserving their natural moisture and preparing them for the roasting stages.
1. Green beans
The green beans go through a meta handpicking process to remove defective beans, such as black beans, Friend beans, insect, damaged, beans, hollow beans, and malnourished Beans, as well as any stone or foreign material materials. This careful sorting ensures that only the finest green coffee beans remain, ready for the next stages of processing.
2. Roasted beans
The selected green beans are roasted with great care until they reach the perfect aroma and flavour. Based on consumer preferences, we offer three types of roast: light, roast, medium roast, and dark roast. Our roasting process typically follows eight stages, during which we focus on enhancing the coffee’s natural flavour, taste, and colour to create a well balanced final .
